01 / THE CHALLENGE

Fine-particle filtration usually trades capture for continuity.

Conventional filters can clog rapidly in mixed marine environments. The project investigates whether vortex-controlled flow and manta-ray-inspired feeding structures can sustain transport while separating microplastic particles.

02 / THE SYSTEM

Locomotion, flow and filtration designed as one organism-like system.

The ROV combines a manta-inspired body and underwater platform with a vortex-driven micro-scale filtration path, environmental sensing and data acquisition for pollution mapping.
